Carrie Lee Elementary School is looking for volunteers in the afternoon.
Carrie Lee Elementary third grade teachers have created small groups that meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and focus primarily on math concepts.
These groups, called "What I Need groups," or "WIN," offer an opportunity for teachers to place students into groups to focus instruction on their specific needs. Some groups may receive extra practice with a skill while others are provided enrichment opportunities. WIN groups change from unit to unit according to the needs of the students.
Volunteers who can commit to a month or more anytime throughout the school year are encouraged to contact Instructional Coach Kylie Butler at (563) 382-3771, extension 1345 or at kylie.butler@decorah.k12.ia.us.
