


October has been busy for the Decorah Police Department.
On Thursday morning they announced charges have been filed in connection with four separate incidents from earlier in the month.
40-year-old Jessica Berns of 309 Center Street has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. On October 14th officers conducted a narcotics search warrant at the home and reportedly found evidence of narcotics and its use at the home.
39-year-old Harold Jacobson Junior of Decorah, another resident of 309 Center Street, has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired Second Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Offense, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Police say Jacobson was stopped on Sanford Street and marijuana and methamphetamine were found in his possession.
40-year-old Shana Knickerbocker of Monona has been charged with Theft in the 4th Degree, a serious misdemeanor, for allegedly taking over $250 worth of goods from the Decorah Wal-Mart.
19-year-old Damon Stroup of Tracy, California has been charged with Public Intoxication after Decorah Police stopped him while patrolling College Drive on October 17th.
29-year-old William Mack of Calmar has been charged with Theft in the Fifth Degree after allegedly taking $70 worth of items from the Decorah Wal-Mart on October 18th.
