Decorah Police were called to Highway 52 around 4:30 Sunday afternoon to handle a two-vehicle head on colision.
Police say 16-year-old Makinzie Monroe told them she reached down for her purse, but crossed the center line and hit a car driven by 58-year-old Loren Neuzil of Decorah.
The accident caused $5,500 in damages, but no one was injured. Monroe was issued a ticket for driving left of the center line.
