Bench Workshop to be held at Lake Meyer Park

Registration has opened for an October 11th workshop on building a Leopold bench.
 
Winneshiek County Conservation will be hosting the workshop at 2:00 p.m. October 11th at the maintenance shop at Lake Meyer Park.
 
These simple but elegant benches, designed by famous conservationist and author Aldo Leopold, are perfect for circling around a campfire, nestling in a shady spot in your yard, or even settling in a quiet corner of your home.
 
All materials and tools for building an untreated pine bench will be provided.
 
Registration is required by October 7th as space will be limited. A $30 material fee per bench will be due at the time of the workshop.
