Accident involving Schwans truck causes major damage

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Bluffton Road near Malanaphy Springs around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

37-year-old Marc Hines of West Union was driving a Schwan's truck northbound on Bluffton Road, crossing a bridge, when an unknown vehicle was either crowding or over the center line, which forced Hines into the side of the bridge.  Hines lost control and entered the ditch on the north side of the bridge striking an embankment. 

The accident caused $15,000 in damages.  Hines sustained injuries from the accident.
