Is this intersection dangerous? A Decorah resident thinks so

A Decorah resident, Eric Bywell, has asked the Decorah City Council to improve the street crossing at the intersection of Vernon and Mechanic Streets.

Bywell appeared before Monday night's city council meeting to plead his case that the intersection is dangerous for children to cross when they are heading to and from school at either Carrie Lee School of the Decorah Middle School.

The city's Streets Committee will discuss the issue at its next meeting and will be asked to bring a recommendation back to the full city council.
