


Author and yoga teacher Deborah Adele will offer three workshops this weekend at Reefuel in Decorah.
Deborah Adele holds master's degrees in both Liberal Studies and Theology & Religion. She is the author of the groundbreaking book "The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice." In addition, she has created two CDs, "The Art of Relaxation" and "The Practice of Meditation," and maintains a busy schedule as a speaker and workshop leader.
On Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Reefuel, Adele will lead a workshop on meditation, exploring the hows, whys, and whats of this process. The workshop will be a lecture interspersed with meditation.
On Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Adele will lead a workshop on "The Yamas: Doorway into a Deeper Practice." The workshop explores how we can use the practice of the yamas to move from a state of constant movement and disturbance to a state of rest and harmony.
Also Saturday, "Cultivating the Inner Life with the Niyamas" will run from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The second half of yoga's ethical practice, the Niyamas, is an invitation to teach the mind to enjoy the simpler things of life.
