Cancer survivors met Wednesday night in front of the Winneshiek County Courthouse to have their picture taken and to celebrate their journeys.  The annual celebration photo is part of the local effort to recognize that progress is being made in the fight against cancer.

The photo event was organized by the Winneshiek County Celebration of Life, which since 1998 has raised money for cancer awareness and prevention.  Through business sponsorships, individual donations and memorials, the organization has supported the health of friends, family members and neighbors during that time.
