Decorah Police arrested a 34-year-old Ridgeway man Sunday night on drug charges.  Just before 10:00 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Short Street.  The driver of the vehicle, William George Hruska, Jr., was found to be intoxicated and in possession of methamphetamine.  He was taken into custody and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Saturday night just before midnight a traffic stop on Locust Road led to the arrests of 18-year-old Arlen Bonson-Anderson of Minneapolis on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; and of a passenger in his car, 19-year-old Samuel Strohmeyer of Excelsior, Minnesota on charges of Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Friday afternoon, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies investigated a hit-and-run accident on Old Stage Road, west of Ranch Road.  A white Ford sedan that was traveling westbound on Old Stage Road crossed the centerline and struck a trailer being towed by a truck.  The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone who has information about the white Ford sedan--which suffered substantial damage--to contact the Sheriff's Office at (563) 382-4268.
