A statewide convention will be held in Decorah this week.
For the first time ever, the statewide yearly meeting of County Recorders in Iowa is being held in Decorah.
Iowa's county recorders get together for a yearly meeting. At the 2014 meeting Winneshiek County Recorder Teresa Bockman took brochures and information regarding why the 2015 convention should be held in Decorah--and the county recorders agreed with her.
Some county recorders will come into town on Tuesday. Meetings start on Wednesday at Decorah City Hall. There will be a "Meet and Greet" at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Courtyard and Cellar. On Wednesday night the recorders will go to the Decorah Eagles' Nest for a program. On Thursday and Friday, meetings will be held in the Peace Dining Room at Luther College. The statewide meeting will end at noon Friday.
