It was an expensive truck-deer accident Sunday night for a Dorchester man.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says 28-year-old Gavin Sherburne of Dorchester was driving on Quandahl Road around 6:30 Sunday evening when he swerved to miss a deer. The pickup went off the roadway and entered the south ditch, where it struck trees that prevented the vehicle from rolling into a creek.
The pickup was owned by Flex Fleet Rental and sustained approximately $20,000 damage.
