


Decorah resident Pastor Joan A. Mau has died as the result of a car crash on Highway 150 in Fayette County on Sunday morning.
The State Patrol says the accident occurred on Highway 150 around 11:30 a.m. Sunday south of 240th Street when Mau's car crossed the centerline traveling north on Highway 150 and collided head-on with a semi, traveling southbound.
Pastor Mau was returning to Decorah after conducting a Pentecost Sunday service at West Clermont Lutheran Church. Service arrangements are pending with Fjelstul Funeral Home.
The driver of the semi, 56-year-old Mark Ungerer of Hawkeye, was taken to the Palmer Hospital in West Union.
