The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says a deputy made a traffic stop on Highway 24 south of Calmar around 1:30 Sunday morning.
32-year-old Seth William Erickson of Decorah allegedly ran from the vehicle. The deputy apprehended Erickson after a foot pursuit into a wooded area north of Fort Atkinson.
Erickson was arrested for OWI 2nd offense and Interference with Official Acts. A passenger in the truck, Mike Schissel, was cited for an open container of beer and released.
