UPDATE: Sheriff's Department now offering card-style gun permits

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department has announced it has begun offering card-style permits to carry a gun.

The new style card will automatically be provided for all new or renewal permits.  Existing permit holders are welcome to stop at the Sheriff's Office between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays to exchange their old permit for the new card style prior to expiration.  Those permit holders must bring in their current paper copy and a photo ID.  The Sheriff's Department will exchange the paper permit for the new card permit free of charge.
