


The North Winneshiek Education Association and the North Winneshiek School District have reached a tentative agreement for the 2015-2016 school year.
Under the terms of the agreement, there will be a $500 base salary schedule increase, which makes the new base amount $31,400 per school year. The total package increase is 3.80 percent.
The district will provide teachers with a $1,000 deductible health insurance plan which includes office and drug co-pays. Teachers will also continue to receive the following fringe benefits at district cost: single dental insurance, life insurance, accidental death/dismemberment and long term disability.
The North Winneshiek Community School District Board of Education will consider this agreement at its regular monthly meeting at 4:40 p.m. Monday. The regular meeting will follow a public hearing at 4:30 p.m. on the school district's proposed 2015-2016 budget. The North Winneshiek Education Association will also consider the agreement at their next meeting.
