A local substance abuse prevention group is encouraging substance-free graduation parties this spring.
"ERASE," a coalition sponsored by Helping Services of Northeast Iowa, is offering the first 15 people to sign up for an alcohol-free graduation party a five liter keg of 1919 Root Beer, courtesy of United Beverage, LLC and a yard sign that says "We Support A Substance-Free Celebration – No alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs here–Just an epic party."
Sign-up sheets are available at participating Winneshiek County high schools or by calling Carol Hopp at (563) 387-1720. It is recommended that you sign up by the end of this week so the root beer can arrive on time for graduation.
Contact Carol Hopp at (563) 387-1720 or chopp@helpingservices.org with any questions.
