Two-vehicle accident causes $4,500 in damages

Decorah Police were called to Rural Avenue around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

17-year-old Ben Amdahl of Decorah backed out of his driveway and struck a truck being driven by 63-year-old Thomas Rima of Decorah.  Rima's vehicle suffered $2,500 in damages, with $2,000 in damages to Amdahl's car.

Police ruled Amdahl was at fault for the traffic, but did not issue any tickets.  Insurance information was exchanged between the drivers.
