Decorah woman ticketed following accident on West Main Street

A Decorah woman--25-year-old Amber Snow--wound up with a ticket following a one-vehicle accident on West Main Street Saturday night.

Decorah Police say Snow told them she was distracted by the music on her phone while driving on West Main Street around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.  She swerved to avoid hitting a parked vehicle, but lost control of her car, drove on the lawn at 502 West Main Street and hit a tree.

The accident caused $1,500 in damages.  Police issued Snow a ticket for having no car insurance.
