U.S. Highway 52 between Calmar and the Allamakee County line might be getting repaved in the future.
Winneshiek County Engineer Lee Bjerke says state transportation officials want to repave the highway--but the state legislature hasn't approved funding for the project yet.
If the highway is repaved, Winneshiek County would pay $76,000 to the state for work on 15 intersections that involve a county road and Highway 52.
