The former Chief Administrative Officer of Winneshiek Medical Center, Dan Werner, has been seriously injured in a bike accident on the Trout Run Trail.
Decorah Police say Werner was riding his bike on the trail near 1102 Highway 9 when he passed a pedestrian and lost control of his bike.
Werner was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center, then airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. A spokesperson for St. Mary's says Werner is in critical condition.
