Suspicious fire is being investigated

The Winneshiek Sheriff's Department and the Cresco Fire Department are investigating a fire in Orleans Township on Saturday morning that they term "suspicious."

The fire took place at 3105 318th Avenue during the overnight hours.  An abandoned house burned to the ground.

Sheriff's Deputies say the cause of the fire is unknown, with their investigation continuing.
