Folk art pieces by contemporary artists from all over the country are on view now in the "National Exhibition of Folk Art in the Norwegian Tradition" at Vesterheim Museum. This year the exhibition includes 170 pieces exhibition of original woodworking, knifemaking, rosemaling, and weaving by 106 artists from 20 states.
The exhibition will be on view through July 26th. Judges will Best of Show Awards in several categories. Visitors will vote for People's Choice Awards. The judging will be completed in time for the Nordic Fest celebration. Artists may put up some of their pieces for sale by silent auction. Bidding begins on July 24th at 9:00 a.m. and ends on July 26th at 4:00 p.m. Bids must be placed in person. Please visit the exhibition for more information on bidding.
There will be free admission all day on July 3rd for Free First Thursday, and on July 24th.
