


Winneshiek County supervisors got an update Tuesday on the wkr being done by consulting firm Yaggy-Colby on an update of the county's zoning ordinances.
County officials identified eight areas for Yaggy-Colby to study and make proposals, if necessary. County Zoning Administrator Tony Phillips told supervisors the firm has done a lot of work, including a preliminary review of potential conflicts between the county;s comprehensive plan and its zoning ordinance. No conflicts were found, said Phillips.
However, Phillips also mentioned that Yaggy-Colby has not yet started working on writing an ordinance to regulate frac sand mining in Winneshiek County.
