The apparent low bid on the project to extend sewer and water lines to the Decorah Business Park along Highway 9 has been submitted by Skyline Construction of Decorah.
City of Decorah officials opened three bids on the project on Thursday afternoon: a $2,953,934 bid from Skyline Construction, a $3,206,709 bid from A-1 Excavating of Spooner, Wisconsin, and a $3,446,604 bid from JB Holland Construction of Decorah.
The City of Decorah had budgeted slightly over $3 million for the Highway 9 utility project, with another $526,000 in engineering costs and $530,000 in reimbursements and contingencies.
The Decorah City Council will hold a public hearing on the bids on Monday night.
