


Decorah Police have been busy responding to traffic accidents.
Thursday afternoon around 3:30 police were called to Vernon Street after 48-year-old Kathryn Elsbernd of Decorah lost control of her car and struck a parked car owned by Brandon Dahlstrom of Decorah, pushed the parked car across the street, into a snowbank.Elsbernd was not injured nor ticketed. The accident caused $4,000 in damages.
Wednesday morning Decorah Police were called to two accidents at the same time--shortly before 8:00. On Riverside Street at Water Street, 16-year-old Rebecca Haars of Decorah slid through a stop sign and collided with a car being driven by 65-year-old Ed Tebbenhoff of Decorah. Neither driver was injured. No one was ticketed. The accident did $6,500 in damages.
On Ridgewood Drive at Montgomery Street,26-year-old Ben Pfile of Decorah slid through the intersection and collided with a car being driven by 36-year-old Annette Bjork of Decorah, causing $10,000 in damages. Neither driver was injured nor ticketed.
