Winneshiek County's coordinator of mental health and developmental disability programs has resigned

The woman who coordinates the delivery of mental health and developmental disability programs to Winneshiek County and Allamakee County residents--Jan Heikes--has resigned to take a job with the State of Iowa.

Last year the Iowa Legislature approved a reorganization of mental health and developmental disability programs in the state that created regional groups to handle mental health and developmental disability programs.  The plan is being phased in over two years.

Winneshiek County has scheduled a thank you reception for Jan Heikes for her years of dedication and service to Winneshiek County.  The reception will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday in the rotunda at the Winneshiek County Courthouse.
