Thinking of bringing home a pet? Check out this advice first

Many families consider bringing home a new pet around the holidays.  Most people don't realize that when they buy pets from a retail outlet, they may be supporting a puppy mill.

That's why the Humane Society of Northeast Iowa is encouraging the public to "Adopt 'Til You Drop."  The non-profit organization is encouraging people to adopt a rescue pet with special discounts throughout the season.
