City of Decorah, Winneshiek County need people willing to serve on committees

The City of Decorah will have 10 openings on city boards and commissions over the next three months.  City officials are looking for volunteers who are willing to serve on these committees.

There are currently three vacancies on the Historic Preservation Commission.  One term on the Board of Adjustment will become open during December, as will one term on the Ariport Commission.

Two terms will come up on the city's Planning & Zoning Commission in January.  The expected resignation of city council member Rchel Vagts at the end of December will create one opening on the low-to-moderate income Commission in January.  Two positions on the Historic Preservation Commission will open up in February.

Winneshiek County is also looking for volunteers to serve on county committees.  There will be three terms ending on the Pioneer Cemetery Commission.
