The City of Decorah has approved the final payments on work on the Claiborne Drive and State Street intersection project.
The work wound up costing $352,000, with the Decorah School District paying 10 percent of the cost. The project used more rock base than was expected--around $15,000 worth. But savings in other areas kept the overall increase in the cost of the project to $10,038.89.
The Decorah City Council on Monday night approved the final payment for the project.
