Vesterheim is taking reservations for a special author tour of the museum

Author Kathleen Ernst has written 25 books, including several that are set at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah.  Many key scenes in the new Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites mystery, "Heritage of Darkness," are set at Vesterheim and involve historic artifacts in the museum's extensive collection.

Because of that, Ernst will be leading an after-hours, behind-the-scenes 'Chloe's World' tour of the museum on December 4th.  She will be joined by Vesterheim collection manager Alison Dwyer, who will be talking about the history behind the artifacts.  Afterwards there will be a dinner with food mentioned in the book, a discussion of the mystery, door prizes, and more.

The tour is also a fundraiser, with proceeds going to support Vesterheim.  The tour is limited to 25 people.  Prior reservations are required and can be made by calling Jocelyn at (563) 382-9681.
