


City of Decorah voters will decide a number of city government positions on November 5th, including the city's mayor for the next four years.
Two-term mayor Don Arendt is facing a challege from Jim McIntosh, a former business manager, athletic director and assistant superintendent at school districts in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.
McIntosh and his wife, Patricia, have been visiting Decorah for a number of years to visit Pat's sister, Julie Fischer, and her husband, Rob. Six months ago the couple took the step they had been discussing for a long time and moved to Decorah.
