Raptor Resource Project Executive Director Bob Anderson has been selected as a nominee for the 2014 Eagle Rare Life Award. The award is sponsored by "Eagle Rare" Kentucky bourbon. If he wins, he will receive $40,000, which he can donate to the cause of his choice.
People are allowed to vote once every 24 hours at the web page http://www.eaglerarelife.com/content/bob-Anderson The vote link is at the bottom of the page. A link to the contest has also been posted on the Raptor Resource Project Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Raptor-Resource-Project/103786266324668
While the contest mentions the bald eagle webcam, it devotes a good deal of time discussing Anderson's work with peregrine falcons, saying, "Bob remains dedicated to telling the peregrine's story. "The peregrine's near extinction and recovery sends a message that we can make a difference. I can't imagine a more important message to give people, especially young people, today."
