"Dozens of Dresses" lives up to its name Wednesday

There were not just "Dozens of Dresses" at First Lutheran Church on Wednesday, there were also dozens of volunteers working to make those dresses.

Organizers Leslie Sand, Nancy Sojka and Lynn Lysne say they were pleased with the results of the work session, which created dresses and trousers to be sent to needy children in Haiti.

Volunteers brought their sewing skills--and, in some cases, their sewing machines--to the church from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Numerous donors, including Red-Roxy Quilt Company, donated fabric and other items needed to make the clothing.
