Winneshiek Medical Center board members have gotten their first look at preliminary financial figures for the 2012-2013 fiscal year for the hospital--and they had to like what they saw.
Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff told the board Wednesday that the hospital had a net operating gain of mearly $1 million from JUly 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. When another $613,036 in on-operating revenues were added, the hospital shows a preliminary net gain of $1,581,749 for the fiscal year.
That represents a $1.3 million improvement over the hospital's financial picture last year, although the 2012-2013 financials just slightly missed their overall budgeted goals.
Still, Luloff says revenues at the hospital were up 8.4 percent during 2012-2013.
The figures presented Wednesday are preliminary and could change in the final fiscal year auditing.
