Gundersen named Circle of Life Award honoree

Gundersen Health System has been honored for its programs that improve the care of patients near the end of life or with life-limiting conditions.

"The Circle of Life Award" recognizes innovative programs across the nation that have made great strides in palliative and end-of-life care.  Eight organizations were recognized: three organizations were named as award winners and five received citations of honor, including Gundersen.

Gundersen was recognized in part because of its "Advanced Disease Coordination Program."  This new service helps patients who suffer from an advanced illness and their family live as well as possible.
