Car-semi accident causes $11,000 in damages

A fully loaded grain trailer was unable to stop for a red light on Highway 9 Wednesday afternoon and struck a car that was waiting to turn left onto Highway 9 from Old Stage Road.

The driver of the semi--21-year-old Adam Brown of Decorah--was ticketed for failure to stop.  The semi suffered $3,000 in damages, while the car, driven by 28-year-old Erin Ryan of Decorah, suffered $8,000 in damages.  Neither driver was injured
