Two-car accident near Gundersen Decorah Clinic causes $7,500 in damages

Decorah Police were called to HIghway 9 near Gundersen Decorah Clinic on Saturday just after noon.

An eastbound vehicle had turned from Highway 9 into the Gundersen parking lot.  The car behind, driven by 70-year-old Frances Pearson of Cresco, slowed down because of the turning vehicle ahead of it.  That's when it was struck in the rear by a car driven by 26-year-old Abbie Helgerson of Decorah.

The accident caused a total of $7,500 in damages.  Neither driver was injured nor ticketed.
