


The pedestrian yield sign on Mechanic Street in Decorah was the scene of a three vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon around 5:00 p.m.
Decorah Police say 72-year-old Juanita Prideaux of Sumner slowed for the pedestrian yield sign at Vernon Street and was rear ended by a car driven by 19-year-old Logan Goedken of Decorah. Goedken's car was then struck from the rear by a car driven by 61-year-old Kenneth Jirak of Cresco.
The accident caused a total of $2,000 in damages, but no injuries.
