Camp Tahigwa overnight camps begin Friday

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois have shelved a proposal to sell Camp Tahigwa in Allamakee County.

So the camp will have several overnight programs this summer, starting Friday.

"Choose Your Adventure" is aimed at girls in grades 6-12 and runs Friday and Saturday.  It gives girls a chance to choose their own adventure--either Art & Tech or Trek & Trail. All activities will culminate in a color run.

Other overnight camps will take place in mid July.
