


North Winneshiek School District residents will see their school tax levy remain at $14.77 for the 2013-2014 school year.
Originally, the North Winneshiek School Board approved a levy rate of $15.25. The state legislature finished their duties last month by granting school districts a 2 percent increase in funding plus a 2 percent one-time payment for the 2013-2014 school year. With the increase in state aid the school board was able to maintain the previous year's levy.
The North Winneshiek Tax Levy has remained at $14.77 for the past three years. The district will receive a total of $1,750,543 in local property taxes. The district's property valuation increased 5 percent from the previous year which is now valued at $118,520,095.
