The Iowa State Patrol late Tuesday afternoon released details of a two-car collision on Locust Road near Spruce Ridge Road on Friday afternoon.
State Patrol officers say 72-year-old Roger Bullerman of Decorah was heading north on Locust Road shortly before 5:00 p.m. when his car crossed the center line and struck a car being driven by 70-year-old Vernon Gavle of Decorah.
Gavle's car rolled over several times, coming to rest in a ditch. Bullerman's car left the road and also landed in a ditch.
Both Gavle and his wife, 64-year-old Sandra Gavle, were injured in the accident and were taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by ambulance.
Bullerman was ticketed for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
