The Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission has unanimously recommended approval of the site plan of a proposed three-story apartment complex on Serentiy Drive.
The board took the action following a one hour discussion of the site plan. Commission member Lynne Soothern questioned how emergency access to the development could be handled. City officials discussed paving a 20 foot wide easement to the property, but that motion failed.
The project developer, Traditions Management, met all five concerns raised by the Planning & Zoning Commission last month, when the site plan was tabled.
The P & Z recommendation will now be reviewed by the Decorah City Council at its next meeting.
