


Traffic on Highways 52 and 9 in Decorah was halted briefly before 8:00 Tuesday morning in order to allow a wide load to move through the intersection.
The truck was owned by Anderson Trucking Systems (ATS) of St. Cloud,Minnesota and was hauling a bucket for a shovel to be used in a copper mine inMexico.
The truck came from the Cenex parking lot in Postville and headed north on Highway 52, then west on Highway 9 to Cresco. The bucket was being trucked from Wisconsin through Iowa and South Dakotaand then south through Nebraska to Mexico.
The truck was 120 feet long, 15 feet 6 inches wide and 17 feet tall. Between the truck and the load it was carrying, the total rig weighed 215,000 pounds.
