Two musical classes are starting at ArtHaus

Two musical classes are getting under way at ArtHaus in Decorah.

A class starting Thursday is the Recorder Ensemble being led by teacher Suzanne Ernst.

A special Bodhran and Pub Singing Workshop with guest artist Todd Menton will be held on Friday,  When not touring with the band "Boiled in Lead" or touring on his own, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Todd Menton teaches Celtic drum for the Center for Irish Music in St. Paul.

Singing with the drum and playing traditional dance tune accompaniment are the focus of this ArtHaus workshop for teens and adults from 4;00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Friday.  Todd Menton also will perform that evening in concert at ArtHaus at 8:00 p.m.
