


A balloon artist who entertained at Nordic Fest for a number of years has died at the age of 66.
Rickie Norman Rowray of Cedar Rapids died Monday in Johnston, Iowa, following a stroke and a short illness. A funeral service was held Thursday in Cedar Rapids.
Rowray belonged to the World Deaf Magician Organization and was a magician for 47 years.
Concluded his funeral notice, "His antics and talents brought joy to children and adults alike. His deafness never limited his imagination and creativity. He strived to do the best in all that he did and brought you a smile with his "Can Do" attitude."
