The Winneshiek County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 last Monday to proceed with the deconstruction of the Wellington Place North Building. But on Monday of this week, a group of four supporters of historic preservation vowed to press on.
The group met briefly with supervisors, asking them to stop the bulldozers; read the Fire Marshall's report; get estimates for rec-construction of the building and find a compatible re-use for the North Building.
The four carried signs saying, "Stop the Bulldozers."
