Winneshiek County Clerk of Courts Office expands its office hours

The Clerk of Courts office at the Winneshiek County Courthouse has expanded its office hours.

The office was earlier forced to reduce its office hours when the state legislature cut the state budget for the court system and when one office staffer went on medical leave.  But staffing changes and a normal state budget have allowed the office to stay open to the public until 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  The office will continue to close at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (The office employees work until 4:30 p.m. on those days, but the doors are closed to allow more work to get done)
