Search for a new Chief Medical Officer at Winneshiek Medical Center is underway

The search has begun for a new Chief Medical Officer at Winneshiek Medical Center.

The job opening--created by the retirement of Dr. Susan Halter--has been posted on the Mayo Clinic Health Systems website.  The information has also been given to the Iowa Hospital Association and to Luther College.

WMC Chief Administrative Officer Gretchen Dahlen says the process might be "a difficult recruit."  The position will consist of 50 percent medi8cal practice and 50 percent administrative work.

Dr. Kevin Locke and Dr. William Remington have been appointed to the search committee, as have WMC administrators Dave Rooney and Gretchen Dahlen.  Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare President and CEO Tim Johnson is expected to chair the search committee.
