Toy drive starts Monday

Decorah High School will be conducting a Toys For Tots toy drive starting Monday.  Toys will be collected at four high school events this coming week:

DHS Vocal Concert                Monday, December 17th
DHS 9-12 Boys Basketball    Tuesday, December 18th
DHS 9-12 Boys Basketball    Thursday, December 20th (at Middle School)
DHS Wrestling Meet              Thursday, December 20th
        
New and lightly used toys will be accepted and donated to the local toy closet to be used to spread holiday cheer to area families.  For each toy you donate you will receive one ticket to be entered into a raffle drawing for multiple prizes. Monetary donations will also be accepted and used to buy new toys for the drive. Raffle tickets will also be awarded to those who make monetary donations.

Over $500 dollars worth of prizes are available to win including various gift cards to local businesses, framed commemorative posters honoring the five 2012 DHS State Champion teams, several new 2013 DHS Marketing Discount Cards (formerly known as DECA cards), and a grand prize of 100 Chamber Dollars. The raffle drawing will take place at the conclusion of the events on Thursday night and you need not be present to win.

All donations and proceeds will directly benefit families in need during this holiday season.  Donations can also be turned in to the high school office until 3:00 p.m. Thursday during regular hours to receive your raffle tickets.

The toy drive is sponsored by Fareway, Willis' Brew Pub and Eatery, Kwik Star, Pinter's Landcasping, Mabe's, and the Sport Shop along with the DHS Marketing FIreSquad and Community Club.
