Three car accident on Montgomery Street causes $3,500 in damages

Decorah Police handled a three-car traffic accident on Montgomery Street Friday evening.

Police say 78-year-old Harvin Christen of Decorah could not stop in time on Montgomery Street near Main Street and plowed into the back of a car driven by 45-year-old Phillip Yee of Decorah.  The accident pushed Yee's vehicle into a third vehicle.  However, the driver of the third vehicle drove off before police arrived.

None of the drivers were injured.  Christen was not ticketed.
